Meet Tiffany Skaggs, the owner and founder of More Than Words Therapies. As an ASHA-certified and licensed Speech and Language Pathologist in Florida, Tiffany transitioned from a background in nursing to pursue her passion for rehabilitation and therapy. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s in Communication Science and Disorders in 2019 and a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2022. Tiffany’s work in Manatee County schools allows her to do what she loves most: helping children and their families achieve success through effective communication tools.

We're excited to welcome Sonya Light to the team! With 24 years of experience in pediatric Occupational Therapy, Sonya brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Health Science from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, where she graduated in May 2000. Her career in Occupational Therapy began with a pediatric internship at Champlain Valley Educational Services, working with children from birth to 22 years old across a variety of diagnoses. After earning her Board Certification in Occupational Therapy, Sonya moved to Florida in October 2000, where she has since devoted herself to serving children in Manatee County through clinics, homes, and public schools. Sonya is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential!
